RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
Short-Term Scheduling
- Analyze short-term production schedules to plan and align material requirements, including spirits, dry goods, raw materials, and packaging, using Excel, SAP MRP and DRAMS systems.
- Translate production plans into detailed material supply plans, ensuring availability while balancing inventory targets and storage constraints
- Participate in daily plant production meetings, communicating supply risks and proactively adjusting material plans in collaboration with supply chain partners.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly material schedules and call-offs (e.g., glass, labels, new oak, finishing barrels, filtration media, rye blending materials).
- Ensure successful execution of liquid movements between SAP and DRAMS to support accurate material visibility and planning execution.
Inventory Monitoring & Requisitioning.
- Develop and execute material replenishment strategies by creating purchase requisitions and call-off orders to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and waste.
- Monitor inventory positions and consumption trends to adjust material plans and safety stock levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers, distilleries, procurement, and planning teams to track deliveries and manage schedule changes.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, developing material contingency plans to prevent production disruptions.
- Partner with procurement and finance teams to support invoice processing and resolve discrepancies.
- Lead month-end inventory reconciliation, including review of potential write-offs and inventory optimization opportunities.
Logistics & Inbound Coordination
- Track inbound shipments and coordinate with warehouses, maturation sites, and operations teams to ensure material availability aligns with production plans.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure ISO tanker deliveries and inbound coordination.
- Manage movement of materials and barrels across internal and external locations within SAP planning system.
Planning Parameters & Master Data Management
- Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and master data to support effective material planning and MRP outputs.
- Ensure proper batch, lot, and inventory tracking across systems.
- Function as primary planning contact for suppliers regarding deliveries and material commitments.
SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
- Experience with SAP (MRP) and/or production planning systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience in manufacturing, distillery, or CPG environment preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS – DEGREE, CERTIFICATION, ADDITIONAL TRAINING
- 1-3 years of planning experience in manufacturing environment or related professional experience
- SAP/APO Systems - Proven experience in material/production planning & inventory management
- Microsoft Excel - Demonstrated knowledge of pivot tables, V-lookups, BI reporting
