RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

The candidate will provide coordination and support analysis on both liquid and packaging to ensure information is being documented and directed to the different departments in a time sensitive manner. This may include but is not limited to distillations, wet chemistry, GC/HPLC/UPLC methods, incoming material inspections, finished product auditing and laboratory management. Troubleshooting, analytical instrument maintenance, performing root cause analysis, analytical report creation will also be crucial to this role.

You will be a resource to the Operations and Quality management team. Members of the Supervisor/Management team may consult with you on how to address and rectify any Quality issues.

This job will be demanding and require multitasking daily. Being flexible, detail-oriented, organized, ethical, ability to think independently, focused, motivated, having a professional demeanor, autonomous, and having excellent written and verbal communication skills are key attributes needed to meet expectations.

• Manage laboratory equipment ensuring the calibrations, verifications and standards are completed correctly and at the correct frequency
• Support creating data collection, testing and analysis of all different types of quality related parameters including liquid, packaging and new process materials.
• Support clear communication and project management between all the different operational groups and quality to ensure quality samples are collected and communicated
• Maintain and monitor the sensory panels including monitoring panellist performance
• Support maintaining sensory standards and sensory panellist training
• Support Drams designating from a quality perspective in Drams adding quality results into the Drams system.
• Maintain accurate and precise records, to include but not limited to instrument calibration, laboratory data, maintenance activities, SQS programs, and laboratory inventory.
• Conduct various types of analysis on product (water, grains, raw materials, in process liquid, finished liquid, and/or finished package)
• Perform audits on finished goods and incoming raw materials.
• Support daily productions needs when necessary
• Conduct various types of analytical instrumentation runs, data interpretation, professional reports, and maintenance activities such as Gas and Liquid Chromatography.
• Operate packaging material equipment such as bore profiler and vacuum chamber.
• Support and Promote ISO, GMP, HACCP, PST/RCA, and 5S
• Write/Review/Update procedures and train other personnel on new techniques.
• Perform independent math and some statistical calculations for projects, records, and reports.
• Provide recommendations based on conclusions determined from analysis performed in the laboratory.
• Set up sensory and be a member of the tasting panels of new make and aged products-alcoholic products.
• Provide analytical assistance with Research and Development projects. 
• Maintain required paperwork to comply with LDC standards.
• Maintain raw material and finished product retain systems
• Support, Promote, and Perform Safety Observations.
• Assist Quality Manager with projects and special assignments as directed
• Support Quality Technicians to ensure all tasks are completed  

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

Experiences

• 2-3 years of Industry Experience- preferably within Quality or Packaging
• A working understanding of good general laboratory skills and safety practices.
• Hands-on experience with GC/HPLC/UPLC instrumentation is preferred.
• Quality Assurance experience.
• HACCP, GMP, ISO, CAPA, and LIMS knowledge/experience preferred.

EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS – DEGREE, CERTIFICATION, ADDITIONAL TRAINING

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Chemistry/Biology preferred or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess reading & comprehension, writing skills, mathematical skills, and ability to follow directions and complete recordkeeping as needed.
• Must exhibit good communication, organization skills, and be detail oriented.
• Must demonstrate dependability and timeliness.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.
• Must possess strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors as needed.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. and perform repetitive work actions.
• Ability to work weekend/ off shift hours when necessary
