As Logistics manager, you are accountable for managing all Procurement activities for ocean and land transportation of bulk and finished goods including warehousing services.

You develop strategic supplier relationships and contracts by building effective overall relationship.

You provide solutions to the markets and supply centers by being agile in understanding the problem and finding the root cause.

You build and support the supplier strategy that is in-line with Bacardi category strategy, to get efficiencies by collaborating with the supplier on innovation and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES: WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

  • Establish relationship with 4PL for smooth transition to new ways of working, standardize operations and effective communication with carriers.  

  • Collaborate and integrate with regional procurement teams and global logistics operations team to deliver on functional goals

  • Work with suppliers to optimize cost, improve transit time, service and payment terms

  • Support the team in getting the category intelligence and benchmarks on industry dynamics, trends and best practices.

  • Plan all sourcing activities with the team, coordinate to get relevant data for competitive bidding (RFQ, E-auctions).

  • Secure the best service level agreements clearly defining KPIs and responsibilities of carriers

  • Work with supply centres and markets to find continuous improvement opportunities to deliver value

  • Participate in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programs with key suppliers to ensure available capacity, track KPIs and build action plan for improvement.

  • Monitor performance vs annual budget, highlight risks and opportunities by working closely with Finance team.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement and contract management policy.

  • Support in building and implementing the category strategy reflecting a detailed roadmap to deliver on cost, service and ESG goals

  • Ensure sustainability considerations are integrated into all sourcing and contracting activities as we all as selection criteria definition

  • Mitigate supply chain disruptions by diversifying carrier networks and ensuring contingency plans are in place to manage volatility in global / regional markets.

SKILLS: THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • Solid business judgement, able to anticipate impact of decisions and initiatives.

  • Financial acumen and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced procurement practice skills

  • Language requirements: Proficiency with spoken and written English

  • Master or equivalent degree in Business Management, Science, Engineering or Supply Chain

  • Experience Required: 5-10 years’ work experience with progressive leadership roles, global and regional scope exposure, growing scale of the business, exposure to different industries (FMCG, food and beverage preferred)

  • Broad Logistics experience and knowledge across multiple fields such as Transportation and Warehousing, customs and excise, S&OP process, etc.

  • Strong background in procurement processes and methodologies (category management, supplier management and sourcing)

  • Proven change- and project management experience as well as familiarity with key business strategies, objectives and different dimensions of value to the business

  • Financial acumen and entrepreneurial thinking
