The Demand Planning Manager plays a key leadership role within the European Supply Chain Center of Excellence, driving forecast accuracy, analytical excellence, and collaboration across markets.
This role is accountable for defining and executing the Demand Planning strategy for Europe in line global planning strategy, transforming the function into a data-driven, insight-led capability that supports smarter decisions, improved service, and optimized inventory.
You will lead a team of Demand Analysts and act as a key business partner across Commercial, Finance, and Supply to orchestrate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process: shape demand, manage innovation launches and reduce portfolio complexity.
By combining strategic foresight, analytical depth, and collaborative leadership, you will elevate the European Demand Planning capability to world-class standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
1) Leadership & Team Development
o Lead, coach, and develop a team of central Demand Analysts.
o Elevate analytical capability and storytelling with data.
o Lead planning transformation for Europe in close collaboration with global planning: development and execution of operating model, process governance and standardization, tools and capabilities.
o Ensure the team operates as trusted business partners.
o Promote standardization and best-practice sharing across markets.
o Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2) Forecasting & Analytics Excellence
o Drive the monthly demand planning cycle (central system generation of 0-24months baseline, market enrichment, and consensus) to deliver accurate and unbiased forecasts.
o Embed advanced analytics, AI/ML tools, and statistical models to enhance forecast performance.
o Define and monitor KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, Forecast Value Add, Demand Volatility, Touch and model adoption) to measure and improve planning quality.
o Partner with the data and analytics team to industrialize data models and digital dashboards for European markets.
o Embed innovation forecasts into the monthly demand cycle, using data-driven assumptions and scenario models. Actively manage portfolio effectiveness.
• S&OP Process leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Act as the key interface between the CoE and commercial, finance, and supply teams across Europe and global orchestrating the regional S&OP process.
o Translate demand signals into actionable insights for supply, logistics, and financial planning.
o Lead cross-functional regional demand reviews as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
o Influence commercial and marketing teams through data-driven scenario planning and risk/opportunity assessments.
o Partner with Marketing, Innovation, and Commercial teams to translate launch plans and portfolio changes into robust demand signals
3) Process & Capability Building
o Champion simplification and automation in demand planning processes.
o Deploy standardized forecasting tools and templates in collaboration with IT and global teams.
o Build training materials and support capability uplift in local markets.
o Continuously challenge existing ways of working to raise the bar in planning maturity and predictive insight.
