As Associate Manager, Master Data, you provide expertise and guidance focused on the master data objects that you are responsible for. This role works with the broader master data organization to ensure that all tasks, including operational and data quality related items are addressed. As part of this role, you will monitor data quality and assist business data owners with corrections, updated and putting proactive action plans in place. You will also support the full team through continuous improvement activities and knowledge management.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
Master Data Management:
Serve as a subject matter expert: Partner with the operations team to resolve master data issues and promote best practice adoption.
Maintain the approval matrix: Ensure the matrix remains accurate and up to date, and oversee user access management.
Keep documentation current: Maintain and update business process documentation and work instructions to ensure compliance across GDS operations. Support upkeep of the Business Glossary and ensure Data Standards remain current.
Provide user guidance: Support users in locating the data they need and understanding how to maintain it, primarily through existing documentation and guidance materials.
Monitor and improve data quality: Maintain the data quality index, initiate cleansing activities, and work with Business Process Leads to ensure business rules remain relevant.
Execute governance-related MD activities: Perform master data management actions that users cannot complete, following the governance framework. Coordinate with the Accenture Support team and other technology streams when required.
Utilise tools for mass maintenance: Test and use available solutions to support mass master data updates.
Review mass loads: Conduct data quality and consistency checks prior to SAP uploads.
Compliance and Controls:
Execute SOX controls: Perform periodic controls, including analysis of reports, evidence collection, and timely submission to the Control Owner.
Support audits: Provide required SOX evidence during audits and remain available for walkthroughs.
Training and Development:
Deliver user training: Regularly train users on the MDG platform and develop training materials.
Lead operational meetings: Facilitate master data operational meetings and ensure monthly SLA adherence.
Prepare KPI reporting: Produce and submit monthly KPI and dashboard reports on master data performance.
Drive process improvement and automation: Identify and implement new ways of working that enhance efficiency, automation, and quality within master data services, helping to reduce application support costs. Proactively initiate continuous improvement activities to increase team efficiency and improve user self‑sufficiency.
Project Support:
Support UAT activities: Assist with user acceptance testing related to master data, as required by Solutions Management.
Support master data projects: Execute data transformation and loading tasks in line with cutover plans. Act as the Master Data Lead for data migration initiatives.
Provide technical input: Supply clear requirements and recommendations for system enhancements or builds when current solutions do not fully meet business needs.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively: Work closely with Business Process Leads, Project Leads, Master Data Coordinators, Solutions Managers, colleagues, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of master data activities.
Lead the Master Data community aligned with the assigned region/function (non‑Tech): Host monthly remote sessions to share KPIs, coordinate communication, and ensure alignment across the region.
Support data integration: Enable efficient integration between MDG, SAP ECC, and connected systems. Oversee SLA compliance for ticket management (incidents and maintenance requests) and manage approvals for change requests.
Promote knowledge sharing: Ensure processes, rules, and standards are clearly documented in Work Instructions and playbooks, with continuous updates integrated into daily workflows.
Champion best practice: Apply master data quality best practices, raise awareness across functions, and help establish cross‑functional data quality teams.
Maintain training materials: Ensure training content is up to date and continuously improved, leveraging videos, Q&A materials, and other available tools to optimise user learning.
Ensure compliance: Uphold the Bacardi Master Data Governance Model, ensuring all tasks follow approved Work Instructions and that SOX‑related responsibilities are completed in coordination with Control Owners.
Act as point of escalation: Serve as the escalation contact for urgent master data issues arising within the assigned region/function.
SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (IT or technical related degree preferred).
Over 5 years of experience in regional/global master data operations.
Master Data certification or significant relevant experience preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Expertise in master data management.
Knowledge of master data operations processes, including material, vendor/supplier, customer. Preferably expert in material master data.
Knowledge of SAP, MDG tool, or other master data tools (e.g., LSMW). S/4 exposure would be appreciated.
Knowledgeable in SOX controls and data compliance.
Knowledge of ITIL methodology/Project Management methodologies.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical skills: Advanced Excel, data analysis, and data visualization.
Proficient in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets.
Experience with data quality monitoring and improvement initiatives.
Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented approach.
Deep problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
