You will be responsible crafting and empowering best in class performance analytics.  You will be accountable for providing proactive and actionable insights through analysis of financial and commercial performance across the West Region (CA, AZ, NV, NM, WA, AK, & HI). You will play an integral role in supporting the review commercial performance, optimizing price and mix levers to drive profitability, identification of risks and opportunities, and providing actionable insights during all monthly, quarterly and annual review & planning processes. You will interact significantly with the commercial teams and distributor partners, to monitor depletion performance and deliver accurate forecasting practices.

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

  • Key point of contact for the West Region and will work closely with the Commercial Finance Director, VP of Finance, Regional VP, Commercial Teams, and Distributor Partners focusing on forward looking analysis, value generating insights and performance reporting versus execution of commercial strategies
  • Proactively delivers strategic pricing analysis and practical opportunity identification to the Region to ensure maximization of brand value (gross profit) in accordance with brand strategy – utilizing Nielsen, IRI, NABCA, and other syndicated data sources
  • Enhance data-driven and data-informed decision making by creating and/or augmenting reporting that will increase efficiency, accuracy and scope and will be the benchmark for the business unit.
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate the impact of scans, discounts, and financial support on the Region Economics such as NSV, profitability and P&L for CBU, Specific Markets, and brands.
  • Lead RGM and pricing initiatives for the West Region, driving adherence to National RGM pricing guardrails. Recommend and implement price changes that maximize gross profit adapting to market conditions and competitor price actions.
  • Provide strategic analysis and practical direction to West Region to ensure maximization of brand value (gross profit) in accordance with brand strategy
  • Work with Distributor Partners to review High Level Pricing, assess price changes, and the impacts of any action taken from multiple perspectives
  • Drive analytics and reviews of commercial forecast against market and brand trends, challenging BUSA commercial teams and distributor partners where necessary to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Assist and support Annual Planning, Business Reviews, and QBR’s.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and ability to manage details yet see the bigger picture to ensure solution alignment
  • Strong contributor / supporter of business cycles: planning, budgeting, performance reviews, assessment of R&O, drivers & solutions, new items
  • Continuously identify risks and opportunities by analyzing industry trends to provide commercial insights to the broader organization.
  • Takes lead support role in managing and executing ad-hoc projects
  • Supports processes & maintenance of Anaplan to help deliver accurate depletions-based performance and activity based financial metrics
  • Become the subject matter expert for usage of internal/external data systems, including training field on reporting cadence, tools, and solutions
  • Support senior leadership on key strategic decisions for a significant and highly visible portion of Bacardi’s Total US business
  • Utilize and champion all systems (Anaplan, VIP, DART, CCC, etc.) to enable sustainable growth through advanced analytics
  • Be the agent of change to move the West Region team from intuitive to fact based, data driven decision making
  • Be the key point of contact for Business Solutions, National Reporting and Technology team to ensure all relevant data sources are being captured to enable advanced analytical modeling

Skills:

  • Strong financial acumen, and strong Analytical background including technical skills, data savvy, and ability to execute strategies in market appropriately
  • 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
  • Healthy internal & external working relationships, especially with Commercial teams, Distributor, and other Support teams
  • High comfort modelling and understanding large and complex data sets into useful information and insights
  • Good judgment and ability to manage details yet see the bigger picture to ensure solutions alignment (Win/Win Scenario)
  • Ability to understand and influence decision making, especially commercial decisions
  • Thought Leadership, Partnership, & Value Creation Mindset Mentality - for both Companies
  • Ability to balance sense of urgency / timeliness with data/facts, but able to drive to timely decisions efficiently
  • Strong Communication Skills - written, verbal, presentation
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels to achieve desired goals
  • Knowledge of building Power BI models and dashboards a plus
