
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Lead and ensure the implementation and application of the Bacardi Operating System (BOS) through the standards and tools of continuous improvement and good manufacturing practices in accordance with the requirements of the LAC Supply Chain and that result in a sustained improvement in the performance of its processes and in the development of cousins.
Lead strategic initiatives through losses analysis, VSM, 3YP, Business reviews & ISO/BOS integration, support and train the Supply Chain leadership team with BOS tools and standards aligned with its step-up card, with the purpose of fostering continuous improvement within the LAC region and the support functions such as Procurement, EHS, HR, and Quality.
Partner with leaders to provide recommendations on BOS strategy and opportunities for their department
Implement Lean manufacturing best practices by benchmarking internally (other Bacardi sites) and externally. Share and reapply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, analyze, design, and ensure the execution of improvements in operational processes and equipment to achieve established OEE objectives and enhance plant productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for the implementation of new work methods, training, and controls to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide support in the implementation of Manufacturing Excellence through the application of the Bacardi Operating System (BOS).
- Identify improvement projects, reduce costs, and increase efficiency across all processes from an engineering perspective, including leading the identification and implementation of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects.
- Lead the Gross Margin Task (GMT) effort within the manufacturing pillar to find direct savings initiatives.
- Manage the plant scorecard, monitor KPIs, and drive the team to take action based on these metrics.
- Lead the cultural transformation of the plant, starting with the leadership team and extending to the operators, fostering a culture of teamwork, root cause identification, problem-solving, openness to feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement governance and systems for shift change meetings (DDS) for both operators and administrative staff. Implement strategies such as Gemba walks and create tools to ensure these systems are effective and efficient.
SKILLS
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral), networking, and interpersonal relationship building.
- Proficiency in problem solving, critical thinking, detail orientation, and project management.
- Systems and process-oriented
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire others to execute effectively
- Supply chain knowledge (production planning, demand forecasting, customer service focus).
- Ability to translate short-term actions into strategies, think quickly and creatively, and challenge the team to do the same.
- Ability to handle a stressful, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment. Strong concepts in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Knowledge in production or assembly lines.
- Process Engineering knowledge.
- Experience in developing and implementing improvement methods to increase productivity.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- BA/BS required
- Strong experience in manufacturing Process, Continues Improvements and Process Control
- 5 years of previous leadership experience
- Fluent English Speaking.
