  • Collaborate closely with Tax Compliance, Transfer Pricing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure continued compliance.
  • Support the tax accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accurate tax provisions, reconciliations, and ETR forecasts under local and USGAAP.
  • Manage the ETR (effective tax rate) for the Brazil market by analyzing current and deferred tax positions (Local and USGAAP), identifying drivers of variances, and implementing strategies to optimize the company’s global and local tax burden.
  • Ensure that ETR results are consistent with business performance and Bacardi’s global tax policies.
  • Partner closely with the Finance and Tax teams to forecast, monitor, and report ETR impacts in statutory and management reporting cycles, providing clear explanations of deviations and proactive recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a robusta tax governance framework, ensuring alignment with global policies, OECD guidelines, and internal control standards (SOX, Pillar 2).
  • Respond to internal tax inquiries and provide timely support to business partners.
  • Evaluate the tax implications of new products, trading flows, services, and transactions to ensure compliance and tax efficiency.
  • Advise senior management on evolving tax laws and their potential business impact.
  • Monitor and assess legislative and regulatory developments that may affect tax operations.
  • Collaborate with Global Tax Centers of Excellence and Regional Hubs to drive consistency, knowledge sharing, and implementation of global tax strategies across Latin America.
  • Report tax-related issues and updates to the Global Tax Team and provide specialized support to regional tax teams when needed.
