About the Role

At Bacardi, Demand Planning is at the core of our transformation toward a data-driven, insight-led Integrated Business Planning (IBP) model.

As a Senior Demand Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and managing a robust statistical baseline forecast, while translating data into actionable insights that support key business decisions.

You will operate at the intersection of data, business understanding, and cross-functional collaboration, influencing stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain globally—while embodying Bacardi’s values of Fearless, Family, Founders, and Forward.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statistical Forecasting & Baseline Ownership

  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve the statistical baseline forecast using historical data, market insights, and advanced tools (e.g., SAP IBP)
  • Apply forecasting techniques (e.g., best-fit models, segmentation, aggregation/disaggregation)
  • Validate forecasts through multiple data sources and business inputs
  • Manage forecast adjustments within defined governance frameworks

2. Forecast Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Analyze forecast variations and identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Conduct root cause analysis and translate findings into actionable improvements
  • Generate and communicate forecast assumptions and ranges
  • Leverage advanced analytics, including AI/ML models, to enhance forecasting performance

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate forecast updates, accuracy, and assumptions to planners and business stakeholders
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to understand demand drivers
  • Facilitate alignment to build a single, consensus demand plan
  • Challenge assumptions constructively to improve forecast quality

4. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report key forecasting metrics:
    • Forecast Accuracy / Bias
    • Forecast Value Add (FVA)
    • Forecast Volatility
  • Use metrics as process health indicators, driving continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance forecasting performance
  • Ensure adherence to global standards, processes, and governance frameworks

5. Data, Technology & Forecasting Capability Evolution

  • Play an active role in shaping the future of Bacardi’s demand planning capabilities by partnering with Technology and Data Science teams to adopt next-generation forecasting solutions
  • Work in close collaboration with Tech teams to continuously enhance tools, models, and data architecture
  • Support the integration of predictive analytics and advanced forecasting models into planning processes
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for technology teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting through digital innovation and external best practices
  • Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring solutions are both analytically robust and business-relevant

  • Strong expertise in S&OP / IBP processes, including demand review, scenario planning, and cross-functional alignment
  • Experience in project management and planning system implementations, working closely with IT and digital teams to drive adoption and support capability evolution
  • Experience working in environments undergoing planning transformation, such as IBP implementation or predictive analytics adoption (preferred)
