Angel’s Envy, a premier bourbon brand known for its craftmanship and innovation, is seeking a passionate and results-driven Retail Manager to oversee operations at the Angel’s Envy Distillery Brand Home. This dynamic role includes managing the day-to-day functions of the onsite gift shop, overseeing an eCommerce platform, coordinating warehouse storage, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience for visitors, both in-person and online.Angel’s Envy is committed to excellence, innovation, and authenticity.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
Key Responsibilities:
Store & Gift Shop Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the on-site gift shop, ensuring an inviting, engaging, and brand-consistent atmosphere for visitors.
- Supervise and train retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring all visitors have a memorable experience.
- Ensure the store is well-stocked, merchandise is displayed attractively, and seasonal or promotional items are front and center.
- Regularly assess store performance metrics and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Manage the scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak visitation times.
eCommerce & Online Sales:
- Manage the Angel’s Envy eCommerce platform, ensuring it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and fully stocked with both core and limited-edition products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute online promotions, product launches, and campaigns that enhance the digital customer experience.
- Oversee order fulfillment, ensuring accurate, timely processing, and delivery of online purchases.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase online sales and improve customer retention.
- Stay up to date on eCommerce trends, utilizing best practices to improve site functionality and conversion rates.
Inventory & Warehouse Oversight:
- Manage inventory across both the physical store and warehouse, ensuring stock levels are optimized and accurately tracked.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to organize storage for bottles, branded goods, and merchandise in a safe, efficient manner.
- Monitor stock rotation, reduce shrinkage, and ensure proper record-keeping for product movement between warehouse and store.
- Manage seasonal and promotional product shipments, ensuring products are available in both the store and online platform on time.
Customer Experience & Engagement:
- Create a welcoming and educational atmosphere for guests, sharing knowledge about the Angel’s Envy brand, history, and products.
- Provide leadership in ensuring that all customer touchpoints (in-store, online, and through customer service inquiries) are aligned with the brand’s values and exceptional customer service standards.
- Develop and maintain a consistent strategy for customer loyalty programs, including gift card promotions and special offers for online customers.
Financial & Operational Management:
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics to analyze performance, identify trends, and make adjustments to achieve budgeted targets.
- Assist with budget preparation, P&L tracking, and cost control initiatives to ensure profitability of the retail operation.
- Monitor expenses and labor costs to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining a premium customer experience.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Hire, train, and mentor retail associates, providing leadership and guidance to foster a positive team environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
- Organize regular staff meetings to keep the team informed about new products, promotional activities, and brand initiatives.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by Brand Home leadership.
SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a passion for delivering a premium experience.
- Proficient with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and inventory management systems.
- Ability to analyze sales data and financial reports, with a strong focus on achieving sales goals and operational efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess and exhibit strong ability to work cohesively with others to accomplish company objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to function as a team member, leader, and business partner with a strong commitment to team concept.
- Excellent decision making and independent judgement skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task.
- Must be results-driven, with a strong ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to handle stressful, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Self-motivated and possess ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient computer and software skills (SAP, Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft Office suite software, etc.)
- Strong commitment to dependability and timeliness – must have strong time management skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting and moving boxes of merchandise (up to 40lbs) in both store and warehouse.
EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS – DEGREE, CERTIFICATION, ADDITIONAL TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
- Or an associate degree plus six (6) years of related work experience
- Or six (6) years operational experience in a relative position and post-secondary education combination.
