RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
- Create and administer environmental protection, sustainability, occupational safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, fire protection, emergency response, security and training programs for all existing and planned LDC facilities.
- Plans, organizes, and sets goals for the direct team and empowers team to build their individual team strategies to align and best utilize personnel
- Implement and drive a “Safety First” culture and “Good Spirited” initiatives at all LDC facilities.
- Oversees the implementation of safety programs, assessments, policies and procedures including, but not limited to, LOTO, Confined Space, HazComm, Fall Protection, PPE, Emergency Planning, Process Safety, Fire Safety, Hot Work, Machine Guarding, Equipment & Pedestrian Safety, etc.
- Lead efforts to support Company’s sustainability initiatives on reducing GHG emissions, minimizing water usage, and reducing waste-to-landfill
- Accountable for 3rd party provision of site security services by working closely with district security leadership, ensuring adequate staffing and security measures are in place to protect employees and visitors.
- Ensure that LDC operations are in compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations related to wastewater management, stormwater management (SWPPP), air emissions control, spill prevention, waste management, drinking water, soil and groundwater protection, transportation of dangerous goods, etc.
- Oversee Chemical Management System and associated programs (SARA, EPCRA, SDS, HMPC, etc.)
- Accountable for the ISO 14001/45001 Management Systems and its applicable requirements.
- • Provide technical/regulatory guidance during design and construction of Capital Projects to ensure applicable requirements (Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental Protection Agency, Americans with Disabilities Act (OSHA, EPA, ADA, etc.) are met.
- Coordinate the development of annual EHS and Security budgets following Zero-based Budget approach. Monitor and evaluate operations and budget on an on-going basis.
- Prioritize compliance-related capital expenditures on a yearly and three-year forecasted basis
- Builds justification and ROI to support Sustainability programs and projects
- Ensure strong connection with manufacturing team and Global SQS
- Ensure strong action plans in place to drive improvement in alignment with BOS (e.g. Safety First, Sustainability, etc.)
- Provide technical expertise for Continuous Improvement projects on Safety & Sustainability.
- Adhere to requirements under SQS’s management system and Bacardi’s Operating System (BOS) to ensure continual improvement
- Reinforce and strengthen the SQS culture at every opportunity and promote correct SQS behaviors through personal example
SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
- Advance knowledge on implementing ISO 14001 and 45001 management system programs.
- Proven critical technical leadership on EHS Programs, also including Sustainability and Security systems.
- Strong technical background on Process Safety, Emergency Preparedness & Inherently Safer Design
- Demonstrated knowledge on wastewater and air pollution control techniques
- Continuous Improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate problem solving teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop detailed process plans using applicable tools (FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and Safety and Efficacy reviews).
- Demonstrated ability to justify and implement EHS-related capital programs.
- Proven written and verbal communications skills to present initiatives/strategies and updates to Senior Leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to function as a team member, leader and business partner with a strong commitment to team concept
- Able to navigate short term actions into strategies. Ability to think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same
- Must possess strong influencing skills

EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS – DEGREE, CERTIFICATION, ADDITIONAL TRAINING
- BS Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or Occupational Safety & Health
- 5+ years of EHS leadership experience
- CSP or PE (Environmental) desired
- Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids:
- General office equipment, supplies, personal computer, computer software, Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, SAP, reference materials regarding operations, and safety, health, and environmental issues
Environmental Conditions:
- Work is performed in temperature-controlled environment and in a production facility where dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, and vibration exist; and in outdoors environment where seasonal elements and weather elements can exist
Corporate Citizenship/Responsibility:
- Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety guidelines and regulations
- Promote and support the Bacardi Corporate Social Responsibility Program

- All protective equipment required by company policy and/or State law
