The Assistant Controller will be an integral member of the Controller’s Leadership team.  A key focus for this role will be to assist the Global Corporate Controller in managing, enhancing, and improving the finance and accounting function.

You are an independent and highly motivated individual who has a financial analysis and reporting skillset that powers your ability to collaborate and get the most out of a small team. Your outgoing personality and people skills will be vital in helping manage our Finance team, while also being supportive of our business partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

•   Issuing accurate and timely consolidated financial statements

•   Assist the Global Corporate Controller in overseeing organizational accounting functions and all activities related to the reporting of financial data

•   Assists the Corporate Controller in directing the Company’s accounting functions including establishment and

maintenance of accounting and reporting policies, practices, and procedures

•   Manage all aspects of consolidated financial information and preparing internal and external financial reports for Bacardi Limited Senior Management, Shareholders, Directors and Audit Committee

•   Drive a strong culture of stewardship with a focus on a robust controls culture, ensuring the internal control environment is strong, with a particular focus on SOX controls

•   Assist in providing clear, concise accounting guidance and implementing and training on policies and procedures

•   Manage the coordination of the Bacardi Limited consolidated reporting process and timetables

•   Build strong matrixed relationships with Regional Controllers and FD’s

•   Special Projects, including M&A, JV accounting etc.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

•   Proven experience and track record of ability working in a global, matrixed organization

•   Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards & US GAAP

•   Strong Project Management and ability to oversee the management of multiple complex projects to ensure successful delivery (on time and within budget) while identifying potential issues/risks

•   Sound understanding of internal controls, standards, and processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data used for decision-making, internal/external reporting and communications

•   Full grasp of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, CAPEX)

•   Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

•   Demonstrable skill in working in partnership with internal stakeholders to share information and influence business strategies

•   Proven experience of leading large teams across multiple locations. Able to command and inspire groups and influence at a senior leadership level

•   Excellent communication and presentation skills to discuss and explain complex information to audiences with varying knowledge levels

•   Ability to find solutions through analytical, interpretive, and innovative thinking

•   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Masters/CPA required

•   Big 4 Audit Experience
