This position reports to the Brand Home Tour Experience Supervisor. Successful candidates must understand all aspects of the Brand Home experience and able to assist in all areas, including leading a team of Distillery Guardians and Retail Associates. Understanding of the value of a tour experience around information delivery (both verbal and nonverbal), timing and ability to connect with visitor is essential for this leadership role. We need a positive, hospitable, dependable, and team-focused individual with a high level of customer service and retail understanding as well as supervision experience.  The Lead Distillery Guardian will act as a Manager on Duty on a rotational basis, overseeing the front of house day-to-day operations focusing on premium guest experiences and operational success.

Their first whiskey, Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels was inspired by Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson’s lifetime spent crafting some of the world’s finest spirits. One of the original pioneers of the premium bourbon and whiskey categories in the U.S., Lincoln created the world's finest bourbon on his own terms and with a simple desire to enjoy the art of making whiskey. RESPONSIBILITIES

  •     Lead a team of Distillery Guardians and Retail Associates, including creating and executing a daily run-of-show schedule and leading morning briefings to communicate daily targets and relevant information. Ensure standards of presentation and service in Brand Store and on experiences are consistently high. This includes retail merchandising spaces.
  • Ensure all daily paperwork or files are filled out and completed at the end of business day and ready for filing and review.
  • Understand supply inventory counts for both Brand Home and the warehouse, communicating with Brand Home Tour Experience Supervisor on any order needs.
  • Support Brand Home Tour Experience Supervisor with training and auditing all variations of Distillery Guardian tours and presentations ensuring professional, engaging and educational delivery in alignment of communicating the Angel’s Envy Story and production details.
  • Provide support to the BH Single Barrel Coordinator with day-to-day operations of Bottle Your Own experience.
  • Ensure the Angel’s Envy Brand Home operates within internal Bacardi guidelines as well as Health and Safety standards. Ensure social responsibility is a priority and all measures are followed, conducting audits and ensure compliance. Promote safety in the workplace at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team to ensure handover of relevant information, most importantly to Brand Home Tour Experience Supervisor and other Lead Distillery Guardians.
  • Act as a Keyholder as needed to open and close the brand home operation.
  • Candidate MUST be S.T.A.R. certified or willing to become certified. Candidate MUST be certified or willing to become a certified Bourbon Steward through Stave and Thief.
  • This role must prioritize any safety trainings required by the Brand Home team such as HSI, Safe Serve and any other training made mandatory by the Guest Experience Manager.
  • This role collaborates with other Lead Distillery Guardians, and all Managers in the Brand Home Department.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills. Able to be flexible and manage stress under pressure.  Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  •       Must possess reading and comprehension, writing, and mathematical skills and complete record keeping as needed.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and perform repetitive work actions. Able to stand for a long period of time.
  •       Well organized, self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail who proactively solves problems and implements corrective and preventative actions.
  • Experience managing a team of individuals in a fast-paced environment, leading a team to consistently provide premium customer experiences and hit KPIs.
  •  Food and beverage, event, and/or retail experience is desired. Prior knowledge of distilled spirits is preferred.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality who is articulate and charismatic. Creative thinker who can manage change
  • Positive attitude as expected from team leader.
EXTERNAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two-year degree or 3+ years of experience in a hospitality, tourism, retail, or operational environment with people management desired.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
