WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

Responsible for the execution of all analytical and sensorial controls to ensure the required level of quality for all raw material, packaging, semi, finished products prepared at Meyrin Global Botanicals Center (M.G.B.C.) and/or coming from external entities.

·     Responsible to validate/approve the first level of Quality Control on the above-mentioned samples

·     Responsible to guarantee the required level of calibration/performances for the laboratory instruments using the proficiency tests to evaluate it, with regular reporting of the results to the SQS manager. When required the Lab Technician will require the external intervention for a specific maintenance

·     Responsible to propose the eventual evolution of the Proficiency Tests to adapt these to the laboratory activity evolution

·     Responsible for the evolution of all sample preparation methods/techniques to ensure the best efficiency of these as well as the possible application at shop floor level. The eventually investment proposal linked with this activity is also in the responsibility of the role.

·     Responsible to support the shop floor quality control guaranteeing that the instrument calibration is regularly made. When required will propose the appropriate correction and follow up the execution.

·     Propose, with reference to the quality plan. the eventual analytical/sensorial checks modification or new introduction to ensure the constant adaptation of the controls to the required quality level

·     Collaborate with the Lab Senior Technician for the Sensorial Panelist performances check (spiking program) and follow-up together with the eventual re-training in case of failures

·     Collaborate with the Laboratory Senior Technician for the proposal, on yearly basis, of an adequate budget to ensure the correct day-to-day laboratory functionality.

·     Collaborate with the Laboratory Senior Technician for the proposal, with a rolling 3-year view, of the Capital Investments needed to guarantee the laboratory functionality as well as the shop floor control updating

 Propose, on yearly basis, an appropriate training program to the management to ensure is own constant knowledge evolution and /improvement

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:

  • Technical background (Engineer, Chemistry, Food Technician, Chemistry CFC)
  • 3 years’ experience in food quality/production roles
  • Language: French à Fluent // English à Fluent // Italian and Spanish as an asset
  • Dealing with ambiguity, interpersonal savvy, constant improvement attitudes
  • Good knowledge of ISO systems applied to quality
