As Manager, Data and Analytics, Data Engineer you are leading the efforts to consistently ingestion data into the Data and Analytics Microsoft landscape.
Your role is to support the data and analytics platform owner, architects and product owners in defining, designing and implementing projects and initiatives in support of the overall data and analytics strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will be responsible to deliver key performance targets as defined for the data and analytics technology function
You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Microsoft platform as related to data ingestion and modelling.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with key business partners and the tech leadership team
You will work with external partners to ensure standards and best practices are followed in the development and support of analytics products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the DnA platform owner, architects and product owners in defining, designing and implementing projects and initiatives in support of the DnA tech strategy.
• Act as data engineering leader for DnA MS based landscape
• Deliver successfully on all related DnA projects and support operational capabilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that integrate data from diverse sources into our data ecosystem
• Collaborate with data architects to implement data models and storage solutions aligned with business requirements
• Implement data quality controls and monitoring to maintain high standards of data integrity
• Organize regular progress meetings with all stakeholders (Management line, Solution Consultant and Delivery Teams) for data engineering topics
• Review overall DnA product design for all MS based project and ensure their compliance to Bacardi guidelines, standards and best practices
• Design, define, document data engineering development standards
• Design, define and implement data engineering deployment process
• Automate manual data processes to improve efficiency and reduce error rates
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing across the team
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence working via escalation and incident processes
• Document data flows, transformations, and architecture for team reference and knowledge transfer
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and analysts on data access and manipulation
• Partner with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver appropriate solutions
• Participate in the evaluation of Microsoft emerging technology and tools
• Work with vendors as needed to support ongoing projects and operations:
o Maximize the value of our key partnerships
o Ensure that the partners deliver services that meet the business requirements and the agreed SLAs. Take corrective actions whenever not the case
o Align service requirements measures and scorecards with the partners
