YOUR OPPORTUNITY

1. National Transportation Operations

  • Manage PAN‑India transportation operations for inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
  • Oversee road transport modes including FTL, LTL, express, bulk, reefer, and special vehicles.
  • Ensure OTIF (On‑Time‑In‑Full) delivery performance across all regions.
  • Plan and monitor dispatches, route optimization, transit times, and vehicle utilization.

2. Transporter & Vendor Management

  • Build and manage a national transporter network across regions.
  • Negotiate freight contracts, annual rate agreements, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Conduct transporter performance reviews on cost, service, safety, compliance, and reliability.
  • Lead resolution of delays, damages, shortages, claims, and escalations.

3. Freight Cost Control & Optimization

  • Own and control national freight budgets.
  • Drive freight cost reduction initiatives through:
    • Route optimization
    • Load consolidation
    • Back‑haul opportunities
    • Mode and lane rationalization
  • Review and approve transporter invoices and ensure billing accuracy.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
  • Support critical inbound material movement and customer‑priority dispatches.
  • Act as the central escalation point for transportation‑related issues.

5. Systems, MIS & Analytics

  • Use SAP / TMS / ERP systems for shipment planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare and review MIS dashboards covering:
    • Freight cost per unit / ton / km
    • OTIF & transit adherence
    • Transporter performance scorecards
    • Claims & damage reports
  • Drive continuous improvement using data and root‑cause analysis..
