As a Regional State Manager you are responsible for creating value through driving sales and developing strong relationship with key customers in your assigned states. You will be driving the performance and growth of Bacardi’s brands within your territory through negotiating the commercial terms and building long lasting relationships with customers, SGWS. Your strong communication, presentation, networking and interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible to deliver key commercial KPIs for your dedicated territory as determined by the Company’s state-level annual operating plan (AOP), working in concert with the Senior State Manager to build and deliver against a segmented AOP for your business

  • You are the day-to-day face representing Bacardi before distributors, customers and consumers in your dedicated territory and will act as the key contact for customers in that territory, driving new business and sustainable relationships.

  • You will be responsible for the direct management of Los Angeles Market Managers, and their subsequent management of Bacardi Account Managers (BAMs), ensuring their on-boarding, development, annual Let’s Talk objectives and long-term Bacardi career goals are nurtured and cultivated

  • You will use Bacardi Commercial Way assets (e.g. Picture of Success) and approach with excellence to activate our brands to influence consumers at the point of purchase

  • Develop, implement and achieve fiscal year sales goals through On/Off-Premise focused tactics and Action Plans.

  • Develop, implement and execute programs ensuring delivery of positive ROI against company revenue growth management (RGM) objectives.

  • Report monthly & quarterly w/distributor partners against progress towards all KPIs associated with your Channel-level AOP

  • Analyze, report, and forecast market trends/conditions; working with the Senior State Manager on part of long term planning.

  • Develop, implement, and execute initiatives against distribution standards with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS).

  • Build and maintain close working relationships with the top off-premise accounts across Los Angeles.

  • Build and maintain close working relationships with SGWS sales and Management personnel.

  • Work and coordinate with key SGWS counterparts monthly business forecasting, innovation planning, and field execution targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Deliver fact-based selling presentations as a way to communicate BUSA objectives / brand strategies and keep brands at the forefront at SGWS meetings.

  • Ongoing SGWS management responsibilities including monitoring of KPI’s, price points (including competitive set), orders, shipments, samples, training and POS management.

  • Conduct quarterly surveys / KPI audits (25%-40%) in all major markets.

  • Sharing of best practices internally within your regional team and outside with key stakeholders within the organization

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or relative experience

  • 5+ years field sales experience, preferably in the Spirits and/or Beverage industry.

  • 5+ years Supervisory/Management experience.

  • Ability to create, maintain and build professional relationships.

  • Effective use of networking and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated track record of performance and delivery.

  • Excellent presentation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS office and related applications.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

  • Ideally you will have 3 – 5+ years field sales experience, preferably in the Spirits and/or Beverage industry.

  • Ideally you will have 5+ years Supervisory/Management experience.

  • Territory management (budget and tools)

The base salary range listed for this position is $112,825- $169,450, and the salary within the range will be determined by the successful candidate's location, experience, skillset and other relevant factors.
