YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Your opportunity
An exciting opportunity to be a part of a global team as a subject matter expert in EUROPE. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products comply with the legal and quality standards stablished by the authorities in the region. You will be updating on the regulatory environment in our region and will build a network with our distributors to ensure that you have the most recent information, and we can proactively prepare to normative changes. You will ensure that all our innovation is compliant with local regulation and will manage the product registration process for the markets that require it.

You have strong communication skills and the capacity to stablish synergies between functions and markets. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be
  • Single point of contact in EUROPE for Normative and Regulatory matters relating to the EU and UK. You will keep updated on the regulatory environment in the region and will drive the technical regulatory agenda for EU & UK. The role is part of a larger team of regulatory specialists in Bacardi.
  • You will clearly define and establish efficient ways of working across EUROPEAN & UK markets between yourself and local supply chain teams. You will manage the product registration process for the region, including selecting and managing the relationship with third parties in charge of the process in specific markets. 
  • You will be the point of contact for any TRN (Technical Regulatory Network) topics, including: packaging and formula changes, labelling approval, regulation changes management and communication. 
  • You will ensure that the labelling done in the region is compliant will the regulation by partnering with our Distributors and local advisors, as well as obtaining governmental approvals where applicable, for example in monopoly markets.
  • You will be the point of contact for our market teams in all the topics regarding audits, documentation requirements from authorities, etc and you will canalize the requests to the areas involved. 
  • You will connect internally to be prepared for innovation or labelling changes that can impact the region. 
  • Responsible for identifying, proposing, and implementing improvements and efficiencies in areas of complexity, for example in portfolio harmonization.
  • Responsible for keeping development teams updated with recent changes in label requirements. 
  • Proactively keeps market regulatory representatives and/or approvers informed in case of any changes to TRN database.
  • Proactively owns the communication and advises in the case of product complaints with strong collaboration with legal team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The skills and experience needed to create your legacy
  • University degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or other related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of Food related regulations in Europe, including process and ingredient assessment.
  • 5 years of experience in Technical Regulatory positions in food or beverage industry.
  • Regional expertise in EUROPE.
  • Understanding of regional product registration processes, including GS1 standards.
  • Fluent in English, other languages especially German are a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information.
  • Proficiency in all MS-Office applications and the ability to quickly learn the use of internal systems.
  • Organizational skills in planning, strategizing, managing, and monitoring regulatory changes. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions independently to proactively identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to work in an organized, methodical, and self-motivated manner.
