What does a QA Administrator do?
As QA Administrator you are responsible for providing both Quality Assurance support to the Jacksonville DC.  You will supervise activities and monitor quality inspections/audits performed by temporary personnel, ensure hold/release actions are managed correctly, and execute quality programs in accordance with Corporate policies and/or applicable regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the local QA Mgr,  QEHS Mgr for External Manufacturing and EHS Mgr to ensure alignment on policy and practice, ensuring a well trained workforce, following through on critical decisions and actions.

You have a BS degree, technical education or applicable experience in a relevant field of study (QA/QC, packaging insection, engineering).  You are self-motivated, dependable, flexible, detail oriented with good personal skills.  You lead by example, are enthusiastic about building an inclusive positive culture and consistently driving improvement.    

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee activities and monitor quality inspections/audits performed by temporary personnel.
  • Inspect imported and domestic product upon arrival into the DC Warehouse and follow up with corrective and preventive actions generated from the inspection including Distributor Complaint filing as may be appropriate.
  • Responsible for generating shelf-life reports, KPIs and SAP product transactions to block status for expiring IPCs and/or quality related issues and communicating status to appropriate NAM Supply Chain resources.
  • Lead quality incident investigations and communication process including the identification of root causes and the implementation of effective corrective/preventative actions 
  • Conduct new hire quality orientation and other trainings as may be defined or necessary.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance and/or PackDev when required for packaging projects and/or packaging concerns.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the distribution center inventories to identify issues and work with the DC team to develop corrective actions, mitigations and solutions.
  • Regular reporting of status of quality-related work and KPIs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to effectively conduct training and education for Bacardi employees and contract personnel.  Model behaviours to promote a safe work environment and proactively address behaviours that are not aligned with our requirements.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and focus on details, problem-solving and analytical ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task.
  • Strong commitment to dependability/timeliness. High level of personal/team responsibility and accountability for results
  • Prior Quality Assurance experience or applicable certifications.
