What does a Warehouse Supervisor Do?

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all aspects of distribution center activities, ensuring efficient management of receipts, shipments, replenishments, and returns. This role includes overseeing material and supply ordering, coordinating equipment maintenance requests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a Warehouse environment and have a strong background in forklift operation.

The incumbent is expected to take initiative, think, and act in the spirit of continuous improvement, and escalate concerns appropriately.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be
  • Responsible for leading a team of hourly warehouse employees in accordance with established company policies/procedures, quality specifications, and safety standards with the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoots and resolve any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (SAP, YMS) issues and/or problems related to IB/OB transactions.
  • Works in tandem with the Traffic Department to ensure all outbound loads and inbound receipts are handled as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Analyze and publish performance data indicating weekly, monthly and year-to-date totals of different operational and warehouse drivers KPIs.
  • Collaborates with Leadership to ensure the warehousing processes and logistic activities are aligned with the Inventory, Traffic and overall Distribution Center objectives.
  • Oversees stock levels, replenishment, and distribution of warehouse materials and supplies to ensure operational flow and continuity.
  • Performs root cause analysis for safety related incidents.
  • Performs root cause analysis, and research on customer mis-shipment and updates database as appropriate. 
  • Actively participates in developing and improving warehouse operations processes and procedures.
  • Partners closely with leadership to set measurable goals and objectives for continuous improvement projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to analyze data, create reports, maintain required SOX documentation.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team with a focus on talent management and engagement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and WMS Systems.
  • Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment such as Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Pallet Riders and Pallet Wrappers 
Personal Qualities and Experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 years’ experience in warehousing and distribution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar preferred
