Your Opportunity

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting financial analysis, ensuring that the finance/accounting processes are compliant with Bacardi policies and guidelines and sustaining a strong control environment to prevent financial risks. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data, as well as performing detailed accounts reviews and variance analyses. Based in our Warsaw office, you will join a dynamic team of highly educated and experienced finance professionals, while connecting and working with the broader Bacardi finance team and other global teams.

About You

This role requires strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with counterparts in various functions, global finance teams, colleagues from our Shared Service Centres and external auditors. Success in this position depends on your ability to operate and coordinate seamlessly within our matrix organization. A proactive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset will distinguish you as a key contributor to our team's success.

To thrive in this role, you should bring solid finance knowledge and experience, likely in your second or third position, with a background in a similar role. You take pride in driving change and maximise efficiency and you consistently deliver high-quality results. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be
  • Take responsibility for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting process. Provide monthly/quarterly commentary on financial submission and report quarterly financial schedules
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet detailed review and variance analysis, prepare relevant Manual Journals, review and approve Manual Journals requests, review accruals and ensure that the proper supporting documentation is available, approve intercompany recharges
  • Provide support and follow-up to the internal SOX controls process and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders and control owners to reach the ‘zero-deficiency’ target 
  • Work collaboratively with relevant internal and external stakeholders and global functions, coordinate to deliver information and analysis on a timely and efficient basis
  • Provide support for Pension accounting
  • Provide support for various tax and statutory reporting requirements (internal and external) as well as for internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting
  • Prepare the annual Statutory Financial Statements bridge in collaboration with the Financial Statements team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the finance function, provide support in driving strong governance and controls
  • Prepare PowerPoint accounts presentations, consolidate Disclosures and other Reporting requirements
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address complex financial issues that may arise.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with teams from different cultural backgrounds and languages, at ease to work in a matrix organisation.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to capture information in a clear, concise manner and can adapt information for various audience.
  • Strong Accounting skills (US GAAP).
  • Digitally savvy, with experience in ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Must be fluent in English. Other languages a plus.
  • Handling pressure and setbacks with composure, maintaining focus on tasks at hand.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
