YOUR OPPORTUNITY
- BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science. Advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years leadership experience in a Quality function and laboratory management
- Demonstrated success implementing and leading organizational change
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills working across multiple level of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for the development and implementation of the Quality 1-3 year plan in line with the SQS strategy
- Engage with the broader SQS team to build and execute the site business plan
- Provide leadership, direction and development of the Quality Laboratory and QA Packaging Teams
- Expertly use the QMS to ensure compliance with Company, Legislative and International standards.
- Build and lead a culture of “Right First Time” Quality and Continuous Improvement across the operation.
- Ensure that internal processes, standards, tools and metrics are aligned to consistently deliver premium quality
- Lead and track RCA/CAPA performance and report performance metrics to Senior Management
- Track & Trend packaging material non-conformances through NCR database. Work with Suppliers to correct.
- Provide packaging material performance & quality information for the Quarterly Business Review meetings
- Monitor CIP and identify areas of opportunity for increased consistency and performance
- CAPEX and operational budgets plans delivered in line with business commitments.
- Sponsor and ensure use of the InfinityQS ENACT database and LIMS software
- Timely communication to the broader Supply Chain in the event of Quality situations affecting the business.
- Provide leadership and support of the VAP packaging operations at the Distribution Center
- Assist SQS Lead with projects and special assignments as directed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels within the Global Matrix Organization, suppliers & customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills as a team member and leader with a strong commitment to team building
- Demonstrated success implementing and leading organizational change.
- Leadership experience in deployment of advanced Quality strategies
- In-depth knowledge of leading-edge Quality methodologies and instrumentation
- Ability to align/engage the management team to deploy best practice
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO 9000, HACCP and Food Defense measures
- ISO Lead Auditor certification or audit experience
- Coach & mentor direct reports providing developmental support to grow performance and potential of the individual
- Foster continuous improvement through implementation of development plans to drive performance and potential
