Your Opportunity

As a National Account Manager in the On Premise & Wholesale, the sustainable growth of a diverse customer base in in your hands. You will show a disciplined yet innovative approach to engaging customers, adding value to their business whilst activating in their outlets brilliantly, all in line with Bacardi Martini’s strategic direction.

In this role you will report directly to the National Business Manager – On Premise and play an integral part in the On Trade sales team’s pursuit for market share growth and trade advocacy.

As a National Account Manager (NAM) at Bacardi-Martini Australia, you will play a pivotal role in fostering customer relationships and driving business growth within the dynamic spirits industry. Your primary objective is to maximize the presence and profitability of BMA brands in the national on-premise channel while nurturing partnerships with key customers and wholesalers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong, enduring relationships with designated customer groups and wholesalers, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning sessions with customers to align goals and strategies, ensuring a shared vision for success.
  • Drive growth in Net Sales Value (NSV), enhance brand visibility, and optimize profitability through strategic initiatives.
  • Maximise the return on investment (ROI) from national on-premise commercial agreements through meticulous contract management.
  • Effectively manage budgets for trade investment, activation, contract A+P, and travel & expenses to achieve maximum impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to formulate and execute brand portfolio strategies tailored to selected customer groups.
  • Participate actively in overall channel commercial planning to capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Work seamlessly with national sales and marketing teams to ensure the flawless execution of strategies and initiatives.
  • Share insights and best practices from local and national programs with counterparts to foster continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your market expertise.
  • Embrace a founder's mentality when it comes to on-premise performance and investment, driving innovation and growth.
  • Lead meetings with key on-premise accounts and wholesalers within your assigned area, nurturing strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Maintain a visible presence at key national events, participating where aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Stay abreast of customer and consumer trends, developing programs to capitalise on emerging opportunities.


The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy

To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • A track record of consistently exceeding performance targets and delivering results.
  • Well-established relationships across National On-Premise Groups and National On-Premise Wholesalers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of key account management experience, preferably within the liquor industry.
  • Strong sales and brand-building experience within the on-premise channel, showcasing your ability to drive growth.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning and managing relationships with National Wholesalers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the on-premise channel's structure and key customers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in networking and strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and dedicate time to on-premise outlets nationwide.
  • High-level commercial acumen and a deep understanding of competitors within the on-premise channel.
  • Outstanding time management and organisational capabilities.
