RESPONSIBILITIES
- Procurement Leader for Raw Material (Molasses, LCD, Alcohol, Flavors, Ingredients) categories within North America and select categories (LCD) in Latin America, responsible for savings, cash, supply security, and sustainability.
- Functional expert who leverages category expertise, influencing, and collaboration skills to become a trusted business partner with key cross-functional partners in Finance, Manufacturing, Innovation, and Sustainability within the region to deliver savings goals and working capital improvements.
- Leads strategic supplier engagements within the portfolio and responsible for supplier segmentation and supplier relationship management strategy development, supplier performance management, and contracting.
- Utilizes strategic sourcing methodology to lead the cross-functional development of category strategies, negotiation plans, sustainability roadmaps, and business continuity plans to create competitive advantage for Bacardi.
- Collaborates with other Bacardi stakeholders and departments to create synergies to drive optimal value for the organization through innovation, supplier relationship management, and monthly/quarterly financial forecasts.
- Proactively works with suppliers to ensure the delivery of continuous improvement and supply continuity plans which ultimately leads to a competitive advantage for Bacardi.
- Represents North America in the development of Raw Material category strategies and serves as the single point of contact for all Raw Material related items within the region,
- Works closely with Supply Chain Leadership across multiple production facilities and point of escalation for any major quality or supply chain issues within the Raw Material portfolio.
- Manages the commodity risk exposure in collaboration with the Global Commodity Risk Manager and partners with the Global Procurement Sustainability Lead to ensure compliance with key sustainability certifications within portfolio
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Food Science
- Master’s Degree in Business, preferred.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish or Portuguese), preferred
- Experience in category strategy, sourcing strategy, and/or 7-step sourcing strategy development required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Procurement with at least 3+ years in raw materials, agricultural commodities, or specialty ingredients, required.
- Experienced in contract negotiations, including development of negotiating plans and strategies, commodity and supply risk management, and executing Master Services Agreements, required.
- Ability to demonstrate proven results in delivering cost savings, cash, sustainability, or supply chain improvements, required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using market intelligence to analyze market trends, reduce price volatility, and or secure supply in constrained markets, required.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and Food & Beverage experience, preferred.
- Experience with eSourcing tools and SAP.
- Excellent PC skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
