Your Opportunity

To be an essential part of the Malaysia team, to make key decisions and maintain primary relationships that will drive commercial success of Bacardi in Malaysia. You would also be responsible for contribution to the Company’s goals and objectives and improve market share, customer satisfaction and productivity performance by establishing channel strategies and implementing the associated plans.

Play a critical role in taking our great portfolio of brands to the next level by ensuring brilliant strategies based on astute consumer insights are implemented using superior local knowledge. Building and coaching distributor’s team to ensure we lead the market with our commercial execution. 

About You 

You are a Key Account Manager who places consumer insights at the heart of your work. You inspire others to building a winning culture and delivering targets and commercial growth. }}You have the capacity to build belief - by engaging directly with customers and meeting them in the moments that matter. Strong relationships define you and you are highly skilled in building close partnerships across functions– both within and outside Bacardi.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Build/maintain/strengthen relationship with key on trade accounts, Wholesalers, and distributor.
  • Drive Distributors Sales Team to achieve Depletions
  • Motivating and driving the distributor sales team to focus on our portfolio - by driving engagement.
  • Drive distribution of the Bacardi portfolio through the distributors and sales channels based on brand strategies
  • Achieve budget sales targets
  • Execute visibility of our brands in the on trade
  • Responsible for working closely with key customers to drive performance.
  • Implement & Execute agreed IAP (Integrated Activity Plan) including channel strategy
  • Manage Partnership contracts - Generate volume through pouring contracts
  • Actively secure new customers for the BM portfolio of brands across assigned channels
  • Responsible for coordinating merchandising and deployment of Point of Sale Material (POSM)
  • Communication of competitor activities
  • Drive excellent execution of AVQPAP in channel
  • Shape and deliver the customer and account strategy to maximize long term value
  • Support development of channel/category activation programs with tie-up accounts to leverage/maximise A&P
  • effectiveness – Activation calendar for Tie-up accounts
  • Efficiently covers our universe and building internal and external partnerships for the long term.
  • Controlling and managing contracts for distribution agreements
  • Embed a culture where an ensuing shared sense of purpose and a passion for winning, that result in a goal driven
  • business that delivers on commitments.
  • Understand your numbers – Monthly, Quarterly and annual customer reviews. Know the drivers underlying Account
  • results i.e. depletions, stock level, main activities, category trends, economic trends and consumer shifts for our brands
  • and for competitor
  • Continuously optimize our Cost to Serve in your territory/channel
  • Build effective long-term relationships with distributors to drive financial impact 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Significant commercial experience, ideally within a beverage distribution company
  • Experience in Consumer & Customer Marketing is an added advantage
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a complex matrixed environment, especially Distributor Management
  • Demonstrable track record of commercial performance
  • Proficient in English language skills, MS Office & Chinese speaking
  • 3 – 5 year Experience in sales in a leading FMCG company and leading teams.
  • Prior experience in FMCG, Tobacco & Spirits is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
  • Ability to work non-traditional work hours is required
