The Innovation Change Specialist will be responsible for supporting our Brand dedicated Project Managers with the delivery and execution of a pipeline of low complexity, Design To Value (COGS reduction / Value Engineering), Continuous Improvement, Geographical Extension and mandatory change type projects, working across our portfolio of brands.

The ideal candidate will have experience with coordinating a high number of small packaging or product changes from project initiation to completion.  This person will have experience with managing change requests, coordinating a cross functional team as required, kicking off the project, managing timeline and tasks through to completion including working closely with the Project Leader, clarifying scope and cross functional team defining tasks.  

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with the brand dedicated Project Managers, the Packaging Development Team, Global Brand and local marketing teams as well as the Supply Centre cross functional teams, will have good communication skills and be pro-active in providing support. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, coordinating a number of projects at any one time.  

This role enables opportunity to develop Project Management skills, gain experience across multiple brands and valuable insight into managing Innovation at Bacardi. 


  • Coordinate execution and delivery of UK SC Brand Change Projects: 
    • Support Brand Dedicated Project Managers to deliver a pipeline of low complexity brand change type projects, such as Design to Value (Value Engineering / cogs reduction), Continuous Improvement, Business Continuity, Geographical Extension and Mandatory change projects. 
    • Capability to multi-task covering a high number of projects at any one time, working across all brands. 
    • Develop Project Management skills such as clarifying project scope, kicking off projects with cross functional team, creation and maintaining a critical path plus capturing and issuing meeting minutes in a timely manner. 
    • Providing dedicated brand Project Manager with status updates on projects in advance of innovation reviews with our brands.  
    • Providing Innovation & Packaging Team Lead with regular updates on project activity, as well as timely requests for help and support. 
  • Business Understanding:
    • Develop good connection with Project Leaders and cross functional team members, and understanding of each functions R & R and set tasks in executing projects. 
    • Develop strong relationships with Project Management and Packaging Development team, showing interest in brand strategy and pipelines of activity. 
    • Ability to demonstrate and understand routes of escalation on projects, with a view to removing blockers. 

  • Communication:
    • Good / strong communication skills ensuring project team are clear on direction, scope and status on projects. 
    • Proactively prepare critical path and key milestones, capturing all cross-functional needs and constraints.  
    • Good understanding / strong willingness to learn and become expert of Bacardi Innovation process and tool.

  • Continuous Improvement of Best Practices for Project Management:
    • Effective use of all PM tools such as k/o decks, critical paths, innovator, close out meetings. 
    • Participate in promotion of continuous improvement & wow activities through UK SC team meetings and global PM meetings. 


  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economy, Supply Chain or Engineering and / or work experience in a FMCG business with a similar / related role.  
  • Preferable previous experience in a Project Coordination role for 2yrs +.
  • Experience coordinating and executing a high number of small / low complexity brand change projects. 
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with own team and cross-functional teams. 
Functional Skills:
  • Good communication skills 
  • Capability to work in a fast paced, sometimes changing environment. 
  • Strong ownership of project remit, and support provided to Innovation Mgt & Packaging Development Team. 
  • Willingness & strong interest in developing PM skills. 
  • Business savvy, experienced with understanding consumer and customer’s needs.  Understanding of Bacardi brands, what they stand for and how Bacardi is organized. 
  • Capability to work in a seamless team, cross-functionally and across regions & willingness to share best practices, project learnings. 
  • Overall good collaborator, and highly organized.
