Your Opportunity

This finance role focuses on leading the financial reporting and business partnering for manufacturing cost (material & overhead finance) of India market and providing valuable analytical insights to the India Supply chain & procurement teams to drive performance excellence. This role will be responsible for driving various value engineering ideas and should find new initiatives based on detailed analysis and must ensure end to end execution of initiative by aligning cross functional stake holder as and when required.

About You
  • You are expected to lead periodic manufacturing cost performance reviews with cross functional stake holders & to evaluate new initiatives. 
  • The individual will manage projects focusing on cost control & optimization, provide analysis & decision support to the cross functional teams in understanding ways to drive the focus on efficiency, taking the business forward. 
  • This role will be having a key role in annual manufacturing cost budgeting exercise, monthly performance reporting, and ensuring system hygiene on cost booking in correct heads by various plant team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With Our Consumer At The Heart Your Key Focus Will Be:
  • Performance measurement & Reporting: 
    • Leading material cost financial reporting activities, including Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closure of books
    • Leading overhead cost financial reporting activities, including Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closure of books
    • Monthly review of working capital, close monitoring of slow-moving stocks and ensure adequacy of Inventory provisions as per policy.
    • Forecasting and highlighting risks & opportunities of manufacturing & distribution cost
    • Leading and delivering the budgeting activities for manufacturing & distribution cost for AMEA markets
  • Value Engineering projects:
    • Driving value engineering initiatives of India with the objective of delivering flat cost year on year
    • Tracking value engineering projects (target vs projects identified vs actual saving realized)
    • Providing saving opportunities basis data analysis & benchmarking and aligning way forward to reduce cost with cross functional stake holders.
    • Validate stock ordering plan for optimal utilization of cash.
  • Compliance & Controls: 
    • Validate manufacturing cost posting in correct cost buckets.
    • Sample checking to ensure proper approvals in place for any expense paid beyond contract limits.
    • Ensure inventory controls across plants and depots to have optimal utilization of working capita

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Skills And Experience Needed To Create Your Legacy:
  • Min 3 years of experience of financial reporting and performance management preferable across manufacturing organisations
  • CA/ ICWA/MBA Finance is required
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, strong commercial acumen 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business partnering skills; ability to influence market stakeholders and build trust with key stakeholders
  • Experience of working in cross functional environment 
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial model building
  • Experience working with SAP and BI desirable.
