Your Opportunity

As the Country Manager, you will be accountable for delivering value and financial impact for our company by driving key decisions on the market unit commercial operations of Bacardi-Martini (Romania, Bulgaria, North Cyprus, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan). As the face of Bacardi East Balkans & Caucuses, you will be responsible for leading the market, engaging our people and customers to deliver best-in-class execution and performance in the cluster.

About You
  • Your ability to strategically shape direction and build prioritised plans whilst engaging the team and customers to execute to new highs will be critical.
  • You have experience of managing a full P&L and working with key stakeholders to win, with hands on approach if needed.
  • Your ability to combine strategic approach and manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix & third-party distributors, partnering with Consumer & Customer Marketing Teams, Supply & Financial Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With Our Consumer At The Heart Your Key Focus Will Be:

Develop Long Term Strategy, Deliver Key Financial Results & Excellence in Execution:
  • Deliver key financial targets (NSV, Gross Margin, Overheads, Profitability, ROI, Value Share) versus budget. Manage market unit P&L to ensure consistent growth of gross profit and margin.
  • Develop a long-term 5Y strategy for the market unit in scope and get it aligned with the key internal stakeholders as well as the partners (distributors) in your respective markets.
  • Shape integrated annual plan (IAP) in line with the long-term 5Y strategy and ensure its execution.
  • Secure strong and efficient channel & customer marketing plans to deliver key financial targets.
  • Influence and input to the Cluster IAP to ensure Market Unit plans meet Customer needs.
  • Set, implement, and sustain an optimal Route-to-Market in your Country and Cost to Serve.
  • Build and keep updated transparent value chains in countries in scope, executing the brand pricing strategy while bringing CTS efficiency in commercial operations with 3d party distributors.
  • Lead S&OP process & demand planning from a commercial point of view partnering with supply organizations.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships with the Distributors. 
Develop talent and capability:
  • Take ownership of Commercial capability development both internally and at the distributors’ side and drive improvements in results as measured by the Commercial Scorecard.
  • Ensure that Distributors’ Commercial teams have the resources and assets needed to deliver desired results.
  • Ensure own and direct reports ( if any) SMART development plans in Primo Profile and actively work to close competence gaps, and gain new skills.
Create a winning team:
  • Drive execution excellence through strong, functioning, and coordinated Distributors’ Commercial teams and own team (if any).
  • Build a shared sense of purpose among the Commercial Teams of Distributors.
  • Align Distributors behind the targets and create a passion for winning in their organization.
  • Drive commitment to recommended plans by influencing the key market, region, and global stakeholders

  • Identify, develop, and make improvements to new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Skills And Experience Needed To Create Your Legacy:
  • Up to 7 years of Experience in a leadership role in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment preferably international role as Sales Director in a leading FMCG Company
  • Expertise in Customer Marketing through first-hand experience in the function at the national leadership level
  • Demonstrable track record of performance in Commercial · Proficiency in English language skills
  • Experience in managing P&Ls and using this information to drive performance.
  • Experience in the Spirits or Beverages Industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong verbal, presentation & written skills.  Confidence to influence at all levels in an organization. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle large amounts of complex data. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills as well as the ability to be hands-on.
  • Resilience to stress in a dynamically changing market and working environment.
  • Proficient in English language skills; working knowledge of local market language would be an advantage. 
  • Business travel requirements – up to 70% of the time.
