Your Opportunity

You will play a pivotal role in steering the daily finance and accounting operations within the Mexican Market. Your primary responsibilities will encompass coordinating, implementing, executing, and controlling finance measures, including Statutory P&L Results, Balance Sheet Analysis, (Internal/External) Audit Controls, Supply Chain Interactions, and Cashflow/Working Capital Management.

You bring substantial experience in the Mexican business landscape. Your ability to forge deep, trusting partnerships with Business Leaders, Finance Supply Chain Teams, and Regional Finance Primos is exemplary. Your approach will be characterized by speed, hands-on involvement, and action-orientation as you adeptly navigate multiple high-priority topics. Decisive and confident, you possess the capability to envision the big picture, determine the best course of action, and delve into execution to ensure exceptional delivery. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be

Drive results & Excellence in Execution:
  • Monitor local cash-flows and Balance Sheet, providing management with crucial accounting technical information to facilitate decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate completion of month-end closings and timely generation of reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Mexico Leadership to deliver reports, analyze findings, identify potential risk areas, and forecast opportunities.
  • Uphold an adequate level of Internal Controls, serving as the SOX Process Country Leader.
  • Act as an effective Business Partner to Bacardi Mexico Business.
  • Ensure the agreed-upon level of service outlined in the SLA is provided by BES (Global Shared Business Service).
  • Coordinate Tax audits with local tax authorities in alignment with Global Tax guidelines.
  • Foster the training and retention of skilled accounting staff.
  • Liaise with Internal/External Audits and implement action plans derived from audit recommendations.
Creating a Winning Team
  • Lead the Stewardship actions for Mexico and collaborate closely with Business Leaders and BES Teams.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence in execution that recognizes and rewards High-Performance Primos.
Measure of Success
  • Ensure local statutory compliance with regulations, safeguarding the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Review the appropriate level of funding and capital structure in alignment with Global Treasury.
  • Communicate new regulations affecting (or potentially affecting) the business to relevant stakeholders.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The skills and experience needed to create your legacy
  • Proficiency in English is a must-have.
  • Several years of experience (5+ years) in Accounting/Finance roles in a multinational environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in accounting principles and procedures, experienced in creating financial statements, demonstrating strong accounting and financial technical skills.
  • People-oriented, able to leverage the team and business partners. Capable of forming robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo, seeking and sharing opportunities.
  • Systems: Office, SAP or similar, Power BI, Reporting Systems
