WHAT DOES A COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR EAST EUROPE DO?
Commercial Operations Director is the heart and soul of sales & commercial capabilities transformation, always looking for ways commercial excellence and revenue opportunities can be maximized.

This role is responsible for crafting and leading the execution of a winning go-to-market strategy, sales systems & processes as well as required digital tools & solutions, acting as a key catalyst of commercial execution excellence across all channels & markets in East Europe.

Strong active listening, agility & collaboration defines you and you are highly skilled in executing change in ambiguous environments. You have ideas how to commercialize premium brands better, comfortable with trying new things with the spirit of entrepreneurship & delivery-focus. Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix, with teams within and outside the commercial function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is set to lead commercial business development & transformation and while based in Headquarter office in Warsaw, a significant percentage of your time will be interacting with commercial Primos, salesforce & wholesale’s commercial teams. As a result, you can expect to be travelling to stay connected to all stakeholders.

WITH OUR CONSUMER & CUSTOMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Commercial G2M Strategy & RTM set up: You will lead and facilitate a development and delivery of the Cluster Commercial strategy (channel & customer) with particular focus to G2M/RTM set up, sales channel strategy and planning, selling capabilities and routines, sales coverage & execution, sales performance & reporting framework, tech sales solutions. 
  • Commercial Capabilities: You will work closely with commercial teams & partners to identify and prioritize the Critical Sales processes & Commercial capability agenda to achieve Bacardi’s business ambitions. You will proactively work on their development & delivery cross functionally, across partners & markets. You will own development and implementation of training strategy together with other functions to ensure BMP commercial team is well equipped with best-in-class knowledge (sales, data using, KPIs setting, finance, joint strategic planning etc).
  • Sales process & routines: You will evaluate & re – engineer critical commercial ways of working and act as a change agent for their eventual implementation as part of sales DNA. You will lead and own merchandising standards development (together with consumer and customer marketing), coordinate sales incentive plan, frame & execute sales bonus scheme.
  • Sales systems, tools & reporting: You will lead maintenance and development of overall sales systems and reporting to ensure they meet the wants & needs of market challenges, business blueprint and sales performance cadence. You will contribute to the implementation of Global Sales or Customer Tools and lead development of local solutions that will equip our sales teams to win the marketplace.
  • Best practices & Centre of Excellence: You will constantly diagnose competitive landscape & market context to search and embed best in class sales techniques and digital solutions to drive commercial excellence, ensuring their standardization across the markets.
  • PMO: You will be a project lead to manage & execute key commercial projects (go-to-market (customer & sales), tech sales) defined by East Europe long term strategy on time and to budget.
  • People & team development: you will manage sales analytics team including hiring, developing, motivation, engagement, and inspiration for them.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • Higher education in Economics / Management / Marketing or another relevant field.
  • Professional experience in Commercial Capabilities / Business Development / Sales Technology or a similar position considered, both with direct and 3rd party distribution (premium spirits, wines, drinks industry is a clear win). 
  • Experience of having worked in an organization where commercial capability and sales tech agenda was a key company strength (knowing what great looks like in this area is essential).
  • Experience in cross-functional project management, ability to see a project through from start to finish, act as a PMO.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle large amounts of data, get insights out of data available.
  • Practical presentation & communication skills focused on story – telling, feedback culture & active listening.
  • Strategic agility and design thinking.
  • Very strong organizational skills: consistent approach to “influence with impact”; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Finger on the pulse – up to date with the latest trends to deliver the best digital & sales technology solutions as possible
  • Digital Skills and willingness to accelerate digital learning is desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excel & Power Point savvy (must)
  • Polish/English fluent, a must.
