Your Opportunity

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of the MENAT commercial team as Commercial Manager Dubai. Your principal role will be to manage the dynamic Dubai on-trade closely working with the distributor, building professional relations to capture market dynamics and react to growth opportunities in your market. 

In your role, you will create legacy for the brands and contribute to key decisions that will significantly impact our brand presence and positioning both in on-trade & off trade space in Dubai. You will be based in Dubai. The role reports into Area Director MENAT.

About You

As the Commercial Manager Dubai, you will be accountable for delivering value and financial impact in Dubai.  Your ability to manage your distributors at any given time will be key, and motivating distributors to achieve their targets and celebrate excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be

Deliver Results and Excellence in Execution:
  • Key responsibility to lead & drive the global strategy On Trade & Off Trade agenda for Dubai with a huge focus to drive the ontrade strategy by optimizing brand presence, sales and awareness in this channel
  • Deliver key financial targets (NSV, Gross Margin, Overheads, Profitability, ROI, Value Share) versus budget.
  • Building strong, mutually beneficial relationships and partnership with On & Off Trade Customers in Dubai
  • Influence and input to the integrated activity planning to ensure Country plans meet Customer needs to shape and deliver the customer and channel strategy of the Country to maximize long term value to the company
  • Control in market Value Chain with regular updates based on information from all stakeholders.
  • Monitor supply chain to ensure smooth market supply & maintain a high level of shipment forecast accuracy
  • Ensuring optimum distribution and visibility of our brands (AVQPAP) across channels
  • Control, manage and negotiate ontrade contracts for distribution agreements
  • Best execution of Brand Plans for local trade to build long-term sustainable brand equity
Develop talent and capability 
  • Lead the ontrade & advocacy team for Dubai, ensuring development and strong leadership for the internal team and external teams sat under the distributor network
  • Ensuring that your distributors have resources needed to deliver desired results (P&L, Customer Marketing, Execution)
  • Ensuring all distributors understand the company policies and culture
Create a winning team
  • Motivate distributors to achieve their targets and celebrate excellence
  • Managing the Dubai Commercial and Trade Ambassador Teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The skills and experience needed to create your legacy
  • Degree with a Sales or Marketing specialisation
  • Minimum 10 to 12 years sales/marketing experience in FMCG or Alcohol and Beverage industry
  • Strong On Trade industry knowledge in Dubai with established contacts in the night scene or gastronomy is a huge advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English
  • Solid presentation skills with communication to impact & negotiate profitable decisions
  • Good financial acumen and exposure to managing Sales and P&Ls
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Team Management experience and leadership a must
  • Distributor Management expertise is key criterion
