What does a CapEX Manager SC UK do?
To lead and manage the UK Supply multi-disciplined Project team to implement and execute best in class Project Management that will enable the UK SUPPLY to deliver outstanding customer value through the production of premium Gin and Whisky products and services and at competitive costs for our global markets. To set up the Asset improvement & replacement strategy and drive the Capex agenda to support the Vision & Strategy. To coordinate and follow up productivity initiatives and compile related reporting as the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Supply Centre UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Aspects of the Role:
  • Bring an in-depth knowledge of advanced Project Management methodologies that will shape and influence our UK SUPPLY Operations to enable competitive advantage across our E2E processes and KPIs.
  • Develop the UK Supply Asset replacement strategy and related Capital Expenditure plans in alignment with the 3 year Plan Strategy and Bacardi Operating Standards to achieve best in class equipment performance & reliability and Operations Teams technical mastery.
  • Ensure that project management practices, procedures and systems comply with Bacardi and local legislative SQS Standards and support technical initiatives supporting both Safety First and low environmental impact Operations programs.
  • Support Innovation initiatives through allocating appropriate technical resources into DTV projects and ensuring every project is supported with the required robust technical design, specifications and engineering solutions.
  • Coach Project leaders in developing the project documentation on time and as per company specification, setting the right project specifications & benefits, commissioning the equipment, training
  • Compile and issue regular reporting of the UK Supply projects status. Act as a project leader when required.
  • Coordinate with the Spirit Supply & Manufacturing teams the setup and delivery of the Engineering budget including labour, outsourced services and MRO. 
  • Track and report financials results & Latest Estimate assumptions to the Finance team.
  • Develop benchmarking across the network of PMOs with the support of the regional Engineering Director and within the industry.
  • Act as the Project Management Office (PMO) leader for UK Supply. Coordinate and follow up the assessment and implementation of productivity initiatives. 
  • Coach individual projects leaders to track projects implementation and achieved savings, compile and issue monthly reporting to the UK Supply Leadership Team and Regional Supply chain Engineering Director.

  • In collaboration with the Spirit Supply & Manufacturing HR Business Partners deploy HR policies and procedures across the UK Supply Project Teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance within current legal requirements regarding occupational health and safety, process safety, as well as the Complementary Insurance for the execution of the work involving dangerous substances.
  • Implement robust project and risk management processes to control and reduce the risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Adopt and maintain all necessary arrangement to comply with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.
  • Meet operational and administrative controls associated with the identified and evaluated hazards of the activities and/or operations of the position.
  • Monitor and timely report of the status of projects to main stakeholders, including cost, and scheduling.
  • Punctual and strict follow-up to the Budget and times defined in the projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Work Experience:
  • Leadership experience in managing a multi-disciplined Engineering and/or Operations team within an international FMCG Manufacturing organization.
  • Technical Mastery in Spirit and Bulk processing and FMCG production equipment & best practices.
  • Strong Engineering skills with the ability to develop and translate engineering solutions into delivering operational excellence across multiple processes and sites.
  • Expert in Project Management methodology and practices.
  • Financial competent capable of developing and managing operational budgets and assessing & implementing cost saving opportunities.
  • Strong experience in building strategic capital expenditure plans and setup & execute major Capex projects involving both civil works and operating equipment.
  • Effective collaborator and communicator with experience of working in an international matrix organization.
  • Effective at building partnerships with both Local Management teams and Global support functions to align strategic technical plans and deliver robust technical solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage third party providers.
Educational Requirements:
  • University Degree (Engineering or Science related topic).
  • Lean Manufacturing qualification / NEBOSH, Working towards Chartered Status.
  • Project Management qualification.
