YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As Associate Manager, Tech Operations, Enterprise Computing you are supporting the cloud infrastructure as an IT infrastructure system engineer administering servers/resources and cloud platforms, not limited to Microsoft products, IaaS, PaaS.

Be a key member of the follow-the-sun support team ensuring service operation excellence around the globe for the Enterprise Computing managed services, infrastructure and platforms, be accountable for the EU time zone and scope. 

ABOUT YOU

You are a technology expert in Microsoft platforms and servers, SQL, Linux, VMware, HyperV, Network.

You will be responsible to deliver key performance targets as defined for the tech services function.

You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the Cloud platform infrastructure. 

You will build and maintain effective relationships with tech primos and the tech leadership team

You will work with external partners to ensure standards and best practices are followed in the deployment & support of the cloud infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Deliver service operations excellence within the Enterprise Computing Tech space and cloud platforms. 
  • Securing service operations excellence by executing both preventive and corrective maintenances for security patches and upgrades works.
  • Engage with product owners and or vendors, solution managers, IT architects, to understand complex architecture and business requirements to successfully deploy and deliver, plan and execute any migration workload or support and secure any associated IT infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (ARM). 
  • Ensure proper unit testing, prepare environments for onboarding on the new platform, properly manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and cutover plans.
  • Write technical documentation that will be leveraged by the Enterprise Computing team.
  • Be responsible for enhancements of technical debt based on the current and future-state roadmap and provide ongoing input for improvement opportunities and cost saving.
  • Represent the Enterprise Computing space and services for the EU region and act as a primary technical lead solution architect for Enterprise Computing EU region.  
  • Participate in the evaluation of Microsoft emerging technologies and tools.
  • Work with vendors as needed to support ongoing projects and operations.
  • Ensure daily security compliance – active directory, antivirus, backups, OS patching consistency across the landscapes, harmonized OS version and extension for both Cloud and on-Prem running operating systems. 
  • Ensure proper monitoring and alerting is set across the infrastructure, react properly to alerting by implementing the necessary relevant actions.
  • Support and perform incident management and problem management, meet the defined SLAs, troubleshoot incidents and debug problems based on the ITIL standards V3.
  • Responsible for managing issue escalations to other technical teams or vendors to ensure incidents are addressed in a timely and effective manner with the adequate level of attention and communication. 
  • Participate in service and infrastructure cost reduction through innovation and improved ways of working. 
  • Weekly review of service operations and projects.
  • Monthly review of capacity planning, ensure service availability while driving cost optimization.
  • Ensure proper vendor governance to achieve the service operations excellence SLA for both unmanaged and managed cloud platforms.
  • Bi-yearly provide evidence for the SOX compliance and audits for users in AD, Patching & DR controls.
  • Manage and execute the migration of on-prem servers and applications to Microsoft Azure following global guidance and processes.
  • Consolidate application servers and SQL databases on clustered type of PaaS architecture (e.g: SQL-MI).
  • Ensure that developments, migrations are delivered on time as agreed with the business and project teams.
  • Understand infrastructure complexity with the objective to develop service resiliency & rationalization across geographies (AP, EU, AM).
  • Gather relevant information of applications & infrastructure from service managers with the aim to write EC teams' technical documents and guidebooks to accurately represent application/infrastructure design and workflow, service owners and technical contacts.
  • Lead, as required, in developing and delivering documentations and/or training materials on platform details, processes and systems to share with the rest of the Enterprise Computing team. 
  • Follow industry and vendor best practices to ensure a high-quality user experience, performance, security, and extensibility.
  • You will act as regional supervisor and ensure IT footprint optimization and consolidation as well as cost reduction everywhere possible. 
  • In dealing with end-users on support, excellent communication skills, customer mindset are a must.
  • In this role you can expect after-hour meetings and or maintenance tasks (as needed).
  • Work and manage external partners as needed.
    • Maximize the value of our key partnerships
    • Ensure that the partners deliver services that meet the business requirements and the agreed SLAs. Take corrective actions whenever not the case
    • Align service requirements measures and scorecards with the partners

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

To be successful in this role you will have/be: 
  • Bachelor's Degree (IT or technical-related degree preferred) 
  • At least 5 years of successfully administrating and deploying workload as an IT system engineer on Microsoft ARM (knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus).  
  • At least 10 years' experience in enterprise computing-level IT infrastructure services and cloud computing.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft ARM resources, services and governance
  • Deep knowledge and practices around FinOps.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience with database administration and management (SQL) as well as any common operational systems available on the market, master network technologies
  • Deep analytical skills, strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges and root cause analysis capabilities.#Commitment to excellence with a passion for driving transformation with the ability to drive change management and integration 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate to top management and to end-users
  • Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting 
  • Ability to manage, mentor and coach a team, both directly and through influence

  • Understanding and practicing of IT governance and operations, IT controls (privacy, security)
  • Experience/exposure to different markets dynamics/specificities/cultures
  • Experience in crisis management, ability to manage the matrix
